The Federation of Sri Lankan Local Government Authorities (FSLGA) successfully launched the WINGS (Women in Governance and Services) Project in Nuwara Eliya.
The consultative session brought together senior elected women representatives to discuss challenges and identify capacity needs, strengthening their voice, leadership, and contribution to inclusive service delivery in local councils.
This two-year initiative, supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, aims to empower women councilors in Nuwara Eliya District, enhance their skills, and build a stronger platform for women’s participation in local governance.
