Two separate service initiatives were launched in collaboration with the Gampola Municipal Council and the Maskeliya Pradeshiya Sabha to improve and construct better public facilities. Accordingly, in Gampola Municipal Council an inauguration was held of a service initiative which involved laying the foundation stone for improving the public toilet facility near the Gampola private bus stand. While in Maskeliya, the Maskeliya Pradeshiya Sabha held a launching ceremony to renovate the public playground and provide necessary facilities for the communities in the council area.
The events were celebrated to commemorate efforts taken to create safer and more accessible community spaces- especially for women, children, and persons with disabilities.
