Enhancing Community Resilience to the Impact of Climate Change and Disaster Management is a project supported through the Direct Aid Program (DAP) and implemented in Sabaragamuwa Province. Under this project a training program on fundamental construction laws for the technical officers of Local Councils in Sabaragamuwa Province was recently held in Ratnapura.
The Local Government Laws, the Urban Development Act and the Housing and Town Improvement Ordinance, as well as solutions to other practical issues faced by technical officers, were discussed during this program.
Technical officers representing all Local Councils in Sabaragamuwa Province participated in the program.
